who knew?

When I look into the mirror there are things I need to say, I need to be able to look at myself and think my life's Ok... Although it isn't like the way I thought that it should be...I never thought these things would really happen to me....
Let me give you an example of things I never thought that I would do....
I will try to keep it simple and avoid talk of poo...
I never thought I would be messy and have little messy boys, I never thought I would spend a day tripping over toys. I never thought I d feel so happy when they finally went to school.. I never thought they'd hate me, because I am so cool. I kinda thought they would love me to read and sing them a song. Boy I was off on that one..I couldn't be more wrong. I never thought I would walk around picking up dirty socks..I thought that they would empty their pockets of at least the rocks.
I didn't know how hard it would be to make them wipe their bums, I didn't know what a bad idea it was to get a set of drums...(and whistles, and buzzers and anything that makes noise). never thought I would have to work so hard to make them eat polite..I never thought I would have to lose sleep to make them sleep at night.
who knew that they like to eat their boogers and if they don't they'll just wipe em on the couch..
I never ever really thought I would be such a grouch!
My throat hurts from yelling my head aches from the noise,
Who knew that I would be this way, who knew I 'd have five little boys.
Who knew I would never be lonely and there would always be a song...even if the words aren't right, you can't help butt sing along...
Who knew I would laugh at such good stories that they often tell....who knew I'd think it was funny when they tell someone to go to hell.....(yea that happened)
Who knew I 'd be so happy to clean them up from a fight, defending their little brother, even if he wasn't right...
Who knew I would be happy and feel life's little joys, who knew that I needed all 5 of these boys.
